hi!
maybe a wrong start for the first posting (but i use merkaartor on openstreetmap too without any problems) ..
I ran into the problem that i have to divide and move polylines between points exactly the way merkaartor is doing it.
activating a line gives a "virtual" point in the middle of the line which can be moved to adjust for e.g. streetcurves and moving such a "virtual" point makes the point non virtual and creates 2 new "virtual" points in the new divided polylines.... that just for example..
now to my problem .. i need exactly that functionality in a 3D tool (the points have a Z coordinate and the height should be divided as the new "virtual" point appears) - lets say something like ACAD or Bricscad or anything else that can handle .dxf files.
I know thats far offtopic of OSM but i hope that someone here in the merkaartor forum knows where the devs of merkaartor got the idea from or probably knows such a tool - I'm searching till ages but without any success..
And as far as I can see merkaartor can (obviously) handle only 2D files..
thanks for your answer - sorry for offtopic but this function is the best I've ever seen!!
keep on developong such fine tools
kind regards
macho

I was told that the idea had been taken from JOSM.
